first of all after or before booking your appointment we will set up a consultation prior to your shoot. either on the phone or in person if you prefer. in the consultation i will answer all your questions about clothing, the style of photography you are looking for, locations, etc. i will also go over what products i have to offer, my pricing structure and even help you determine what size of wall portrait would fit with your decor.
then we have your photo shoot! this is the fun part! my sessions are relaxed and low-key, allowing you and your family to be themselves and showcase their personalities. sessions average about an hour-sometimes a bit less for little ones who tend to tire of the camera quickly. senior sessions are set according to what package is purchased.
all portrait sessions are done on-location and outdoors, with the exception of newborn sessions. while we are at the mercy of mother nature, we also have endless possibilities for your portrait session! if you have ideas for your session we can talk about these in your consultation. i also have many locations that i favor depending on what style of photography you are wanting. seasonally the best time for a session is in the hour or two before dusk, but i recognize not everyone has that availability, so we can often come up with the best solution for a time for your shoot prior to that day.
i do not book portrait sessions on sundays and have limited saturday availability during wedding season (may-sep).
after your session i will notify you when your images are ready and we will set up a time for your image presentation. this also can be done at your home or mine and takes about a half hour as well. so any questions you have about the ordering process can be done here. i will present a slideshow of your images and leave you with a “proof” cd which can be used in the ordering process but are not suitable for printing. i have high resolution cd’s available for purchase.
