“Melanie Araas has assisted us with capturing two of our most cherished memories thus far in our lives. Our wedding and our first child. She was very willing to work around our crazy schedules and was very considerate of our time frame for all our events. Turn around time on proofs and prints was impressive. She was considerate to work within our budget for the photos we cherished the most and not push extras we really didn’t want or need.
We started with our engagement photos at Kendrick Mansion and got just the perfect shot, it is now matted with all our families signatures, it hangs in the hallway where everyone who walks in the house can see this memorable announcement. We continued to work with Melanie on our wedding day at Kendrick Mansion. This was our most joyous event with a picture to capture every special moment starting before the ceremony continuing through the last dance at the reception. My favorite still shot is of my husband behind me, looking at me, holding me and I am turning back to look at him, just a perfect moment to always remember. She was very conscientious about taking our photos considering several of the families involved at our wedding were divorced making this assignment a little tricky at times. Meeting with her before hand and deciding just what pictures we wanted with whom made this process much easier on such a hectic day.
Currently, we just finished the shoot of our first child in the womb. The session was very comfortable considering the importance of little clothing to show off the large belly I was sporting. We can’t wait to hang these in the nursery and recall just what it was like to await the arrival of our fist child. We are looking forward to seeing the baby for the first time out of the womb and having Melanie take his or her first picture.
